Astral Projecting A Real Spiritual Adventure

For those that are new to astral projecting, there can be a number of stumbling blocks that you need to overcome to successfully astral project. First you need to understand that you have the ability, everyone does. So this isn't about trying to learn something new, or force something that isn't nature. Look at it as something that you have to fine tune, like roller skating, cartwheels, riding a bike. You never forget how to do these activities, when you haven't done them in a long time you do have to practice. The same holds true for astral projecting.

Relaxation is a common issue when it comes to astral projection. In order to be successful you have to relax your mind and body. You need to practice relaxation and there are techniques that you can use to relax your mind and body. These techniques include relaxation for muscles and special breathing exercises.

Since relaxation is such a common challenge, it is important to understand that the environment can play a large role in helping you to relax. If your environment is relaxing then it will be much easier for you to relax. To help prepare and get the most from your efforts to relax here are some tips.

*Wear loose clothes or light clothing. Consider removing jewelry since the contact with skin can be distracting.

*A darkened room helps when you are preparing to astral project. Turn off harsh lighting and use minimal lighting so that when you close your eyes it is pitch black.

*Lying in a position where your head is to the north and your feet to the south is a perfect position. You should be able to figure out where north is by watching the sun as it rises in the east and sets in the west. Arrange the room so you can lie in this position.

*Temperature is important. Make sure that your clothes do not make you too hot or too cold. You should also adjust the temperature of the room if you can so that it is comfortable.

*Choose a place for your astral projecting which is quiet, peaceful and free of distractions.

*You should be ready for relaxation now. You will be using the relaxation techniques to help you do this.

*Some like to keep a record of the happenings while they are astral projecting and this would be recommended. You will need to remind yourself to commit to memory everything that happens while you are astral projecting yourself. When you are back, you can record this in a note book specifically for this purpose.

*Make sure you are always practicing your breathing techniques.

*Direct your gaze to a point of darkness directly a head of your eyes.

*Take your focus gradually to an object that is about a foot ahead of you. Once you have focused move your focus to about six feet away.

* Now create a line that goes up at a 90 degree angle form the point six feet away. Draw an imaginary line that runs parallel with your body.

Using these tips will help you get ready for the astral projection process. You should be aware that you need to be mentally in control of what is happening. You cannot go out of your body through astral projection without proper control. You will simply bounce around the astral planes without any control. You want control so you can go where you want and do what you want to do.

It is possible through astral projection to talk to loved ones that have passed. You may be able to do things that you cannot do in real life. Physical limitations seem to be removed. Chances are you have already done astral projection, but just do not remember it since you did not control it. Many dreams are actually astral projection. Now you can do it on purpose and you can have control.
